Owner / Veterinarian

Dr. Lawhon has 43 years of experience in private veterinary practice and over 40 years at Brookhollow Animal Clinic. He possesses a wealth of knowledge in general veterinary medicine and surgery and enjoys being a solo practitioner where he can get to know his clients and their pets personally.

Haley Phillips

Born and raised in Abilene, Tx, Haley has always had a heart for animals. She has worked at BAC for 3 years and loves the family faith based environment the clinic emulates. She has been married for 5 years and on June 27th 2019 they added a sweet little addition; Mason Walter who has been a blessing to her family. When Haley isn’t working, she enjoys spending time with her family and two dogs.

I was raised in Abilene and have always had a passion for animals and working at BAC has given me a chance to pursue my dream of working with animals. I love being somewhere that I can learn something new everyday. I have been married for 10 years and have a wonderful 5 year old; Avah Rose. We are also expecting baby #2 in mid June of this year.

Alyssa Cederdahl

We are so excited to introduce the newest member of our staff, Alyssa Cederdahl. Alyssa and her husband of one year,Jay, moved to Abilene from California 3 months ago. Fortunately for us, and all of our clients, Alyssa has over 8 years of experience in the veterinary profession. She is an avid animal lover as evidenced by the fact that she and Jay care for over 100 animals including horses, guinea pigs, rabbits, dogs, cats, chickens and 1 red-tailed boa at their place in Jones County. Alyssa’s greatest attribute is her experience and self confidence. We look forward to you meeting her.
